Rift Inside Censor Board

Not much time ago the Centre Board Of Film Certification(CBFC) saw a big change in its formation as almost every member of the Board was changed due to a rift between the previous members and 

the Centre Government.

Pahlaj Nihalani was appointed the chairman of the Board, who has been a part of controversies continuously since then due to his conservative approaches.

Now it seems that even All is not well inside the committee.

On Thursday two members of the Censor Board came out in open about their issues with CBFC chairman’s way of functioning.

A prominent member of the Board took to social media on Thursday exposing rifts within a panel that has thwarted the theatrical release of films like Hollywood hit Fifty Shades Of Grey or objected to cuss words used in Bollywood movies.

Pahlaj Nihalani has been termed as a Diktat by many and is being accused of treating CBFC as his personal property.

One member quoted that the Cuts made in recent Anushka Sharma starrer NH10 were not necessary and were made even after the producers agreed for a Adult certificate for movie.

In another movie “Dum Laga Ke Haisha” Board asked the word “Lesbian “ to be purged from Film’ dialogue.

The matter has now been reportedly been referred to I&B Ministry.
