The 38 Years Of Abhishek Bachchan

Some 14 years ago when Abhishek Bachchan debuted at the Big Screen there was a lot of hopes riding on him. Why Not? After all he is the son of legendary actor and the Mahanayak of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan. Though he has been part of many huge commercial successes and many critically acclaimed movies but he is still considered as a underachiever.
Abhishek Bachchan debuted in the much hyped movie Refugee alongside Kreena Kapoor (It was also her debut film) and though the movie was the Fifth Highest Grossing movie of 2000, it was declared a flop because of his huge cost at that point of time.  His first big success was Dhoom in 2004 (Unfortunately for him John Abraham stole the limelight). Since then he had given many successful movies like Sarkar, Bunty aur Bubly, Dostana, Guru, Dhoom 2, Bol Bachchan, Dhoom 3 and has been critically acclaimed for Yuva, Paa, Khelein Hum Jee Jaan sey but is still considered an underachiever due to comparisons drawn between his Father and him. All expected the same magic from him on Audiences which he has been unable to create but we cannot blame him as nobody can match what Mr. Amitabh Bachchan achieved in his peak days not even Salman Khan can do that leave him.
He has been married to former Miss World Aishwarya Rai ( now Bachchan ) since 2007 and is the proud father of a daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.
Despite being not so hit actor he is one of the leading man in the ad world with more then 47% of screen space in ads as revealed by a survey in 2010.
