Malegaon police booked three people for allegedly slaughtering cow in Maharashtra .
The Maharashtra Animal Prevention(Amendment)was passed just a few weeks back in
Maharashtra which made slaughtering bulls and bullocks a punishable offence.
The three accused identified as Asil Talathi,Hameed alias Landi adn Rashid alias Pandiya
are all on the run and has been booked under section 5 and 9 of the amended act.
Additional Superintendent of Police Sunil Kadasane,Malegaon said, “We have seized
150 kg of beef worth Rs 35,000.We had sourcebased information that a calf was illegally
brought and was being slaughtered in an abandon shop within the jurisdiction of
Azad Nagar police station
.A team was sent but by then the accused managed to flee.”
