The much awaited trailer of Bombay Velvet is now out.The period drama stars Ranbir Kapoor ,
Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar in the lead roles.
Karan Johar makes his acting debut as the antagonist in the movie.
As the film is retro you are introduced to 60’s Bombay that reeks of smuggling gangs,jazz clubs and all that
Ranbir plays Johnny a street fighter who wants to become a big shot. Anushka on the other hand probably plays a jazz singer who looks quite unhappy with being a club singer.Anushka’s character in the trailer is shallow and just has 1-2 dialogues.
Well as in 60’s every film had a villain ...How can this movie remain behind...
Here is Karan Johar playing Parsi businessman Kaizad Khambattawho spends his time at the race course sipping whisky.He looks average in the acting department through the trailer.
Glimpses of other characters like Kay Kay Menon and Siddharth Basu seems interesting.
On the whole the trailer was plain average and did not ignite any feeling inside us which will force us to watch the film...
Hope the film is better then the trailer..
