The US has told a court that it intends to move for a dismissal of a lawsuit for declaring
India’s RSS as a “Terror group” while seeking time till April 14 to do so.
US attorney General Preet Bharara in a motion filed before the court of Southern District of
New York said “government requires additional time to finalize it’s motion and supporting
papers”.
Sikhs For Justice(SFJ) an US based rights group has filed a lawsuit to label Rashtriya
Swaymsevak Sangh as a foreign Terrorist Organization for allegedly “believing in and
practising in a fascist ideology and for running a passionate,vicious and violent campaign to turn India into a ‘Hindu’ nation with a homogeneous religious and cultural identity”.
“The Government intends to move to dismiss the complaint,and requires additional time to
finalise its motion and supporting papers”was said by the bharara in the response filed on
the behalf of Secretary of State John Kerry.
