India’s tour of Bangladesh 2015 is creating quite a buzz unlike many previous tours in which India toured Bangladesh. The main reason behind this buzz is the recent good form of Bangladesh which made it possible for them to defeat England in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 and also their victory over Pakistan last month in the home series is an important factor which has kept them in the news. Moreover this is the same side which made headlines after they ender their World Cup campaign as poor umpiring was declared the reason for their loss against India in the Quarter Final at MCG.
All of this is enough to keep any cricketing tour in the news for a very long period of time.
This was the reason a full fledged Indian team was selected to tour Bangladesh even after the leave requested by some senior players.
The highly anticipated test match of the tour was washed away by the rain with very little play but as expected the play that happened was dominated by Indian team comfortably.
The newly appointed test captain Virat Kohli would surely be disappointed as he is still waiting to register his first win as the captain and it was surely the easiest chance.
But with the fact that it is Bangladesh form in the ODI's which is making news One Day series was always more important. With MSD back as captain and despite my personal unliking for him I still believe he is an able leader who has just somewhere lost his cunning abilities the moral of the team must be high.
India would aim to win the 3 match series 3-0 as this is the way by which they can remain at the no.2 spot in the ICC ranking with some increased points.
The series is very important for Bangladesh as they can confirm their spot in the ICC Champions Trophy by winning the series as then they would become no. in the rankings.
All this can happen iff the rain decides not to interrupt the proceedings as it did earlier.
The 3 matched series has kicked off today and is expected to be a stunner.
