JanLokpal: Why Is It So Important

According to recent Information, the delhi Govt. will pass the JanLokpal bill in the mid of february,2014 by holding a special assembly session at Indira Gandhi stadium.

It is being said that it will have the features that were not present in the central govt. lokpal
Well it was necessary for the delhi govt. to take some action as it had done most of its election campaigning on the promise of bringing janlokpal.
when the centre introduced their lokpal the aap party had mocked it saying that not even a mouse will be caught with this lokpal
the delhi govt. is saying that even their cm will be under this newly formed  janlokpal bill.
now the question arises why is janlokpal bill so important...
so let's see some of the advantages which were promised by the original janlokpal bill for which the members of India Against Corruption fasted in mid 2012
  • It tackles a very big socio-economic problem corruption
  • Lokpal Bill proposes to give decision making power to highly qualified individuals who are neither bureaucrats nor politicians.
  • This bill has been in the pipeline for almost five decades, which is a clear indication that people across generations had faith in this legislation.
  • It is expected that the corruption cases will witness a speedy conclusion and the decision will be swifter. The turnaround time for justice to be meted out will be less.
  • Moreover, people will not get lost in the size of Indian judiciary system and they can count on a single entity to report crime and get their grievances redressed.
so, it can be said that if the bill passed by the delhi govt. has these points then it will be really a big change for our society that will led our society towards development....
