Aamir Khan Films We all love

Mohammed Aamir Hussain Khan is an Indian actor, producer,director,screenwriter,
Television presenter,social worker who has been active in Hindi Film Industry form almost 27 years. He was born on 14th March 1965 and turns 50 today.
He is one of the biggest name in the Hindi Film Industry.
He has done so many great movies that it’s hard to choose some over others but we have compiled a list of his 11 most iconic movies according to us.
Here is a list of his films we all loved.


1)3 Idiots:
The highest rated movie of India on IMDB.
A story of 3 friends who went to an Engineering college in India and how one of them elopes after completing his degree.The movie was based on Chetan Bhagat novel Five Point Someone and was directed by Rajkumar Hirani.It became the first movie to gross 200 crores at the Box Office and is said to be one of the most influencial movies of modern time.

2)Taare Zameen Par:
This Aamir Khan first directional venture is an inspiring story about a dyslexic child who is tagged as lazy and troublemaker and is said to a boarding school and he considers it a punishment but his life changes after an Art teacher Shankar Nikumbh comes into his life.
It won many awards and is also amongst the inspirational movies by Aamir Khan.

3)PK:
This recently released movie was a satire on India’s self proclaimed Godmen and created many controversies upon its release.Many Hindu organizations protested against it and asked for a ban and fired many FIR against the Director Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir for hurting Hindu Sentiments.Never the less the film got a thunderous opening and broke all records at the Box Office and became the highest grossing Bollywood movie of All time.

4)Rang De Basanti:
Story of Indian youth it depicted the corruption prevailed in India and the anger among the youth to fight for their rights.It was a story of a group of friends who lost their friend in a plane crash and their fight for justice to him.The movie became an instant blockbuster and many praised its concept.

5)Lagaan:
The story set in the time when British ruled India,it was a tale of a young boy Bhuwan who united hiis fellow villagers to play a cricket match against Britishers so that they could abolish the Lagaan(tax) imposed on them.The film was released with Then Blockbuster Gadar(which became the highest grossing movie then) but was able to beame a hit and won critical appreciation.

6)Dil Chahta Hai:
This was the last Aamir Khan movie he did before taking a break of almost 3 years due to his personal reasons.It was the story of 3 friends who fall in love and tension arises due to their different approaches toward love.This film was directed by Farhan Akhtar and was a Box Office success.

7)Andaz Apna Apna:
This Ranjkumar Santoshi movie failed to hit a mark on Box Office but has became a iconic Indian comic film since it’s debut on TV. People has loved the movie,it’s humour and everything about it.It is still a wonder why it didn’t become a blockbuster then.

8)Ghajini:
The first 100 crores grosser of India Ghajini was the story of a business tycoon Sanjay Singhania whose girlfriend caught murder and he became a patient of short term memory loss as he was hit by a rod on his head during the murder.This was the story of his revenge.It shook the Indian theatres and broke all records.

9)Fanaa:
Fanaa was based on terrorism and Aamir played the role of a terrorist who was planninng for a nuclear attack in India.It was a story of the love between him and a kashmiri girl and how the girl chose the nation over her love.Fanna drew critical praise and became a blockbuster.

10)Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander:
If QSQT made Aamir a star then this film made him a teenage sweetheart of many.It was the story of a school student who doesn’t take his life seriously and is seen trying to impress girls and doing nothing productive.One incident change his life and how he regains his father lost trust in him.

11)Qayamat Se Qayamt Tak:
Last but not the least Aamir Khan debut movie as a sole star.QSQT was an emotional tragic love story which became the highest grossing movie of 1988.It made both the actors Aamir and Juhi Chawla an overnight stars and won the National film award for most popular film that year.
