Delhi Police commissioner BS Bassi has been summoned by the privilege committee of the Rajya Sabha in the case of alleged espionage by the police on congress Vice-president Rahul Gandhi.

Congress had recently claimed that ,a Delhi police team had come to the party office and
Questioned about Rahul Gandhi’s looks and even about his eye and hair colours.
Police commissioner Bassi on Saturday told media that that there was no special motive of police’s visit to congress office and said that the team had gone to conduct security survey of dignitary.
He said “There was no snooping motive of the police official,He wouldn’t have left the
proforma there if had the motive.” He further added “No snooping motive was there.No
direction had come from the central Government.Delhi police never had any political
pressure from Centre.”
Congress had earlier targeted Modi government saying “this might be the Gujarat model,not India’s model” alleging that the government is behind this action of Delhi police.
