International Women’s Day
Today is March 8 and today the world celebrated International Women’s Day.
The world is said to be a men’s world but the thinking is changing rapidly and rightly so.
Women are making their mark everywhere may it be in sports, research, education, or any other field.
They are running countries now.

The harsh truth is that gender inequality has always existed and still exists ,women is considered to be the weak gender.
In many areas they are still treated a objects.
Life has changed so do the world but has thinking changed. There was a time when women was bound to stay at home , they didn’t had the right to vote, right to express, basic rights of living were not available to them, things like sati pratha existed.
Now many of the malpractises against women has been abolished but has there been a complete turn over in the way they live.
Domestic violence still exists, They are still kept under wraps, they are still objctified.
So has this world really turned into a better world for women.
It’s not that they are the sufferers everytime but you cannot disagree they are the one most of the time.
Leave jokes on their driving , their looks apart.... Eve teasing still exists..Rapes are still taking place...acid attacks well there is nobody to stop them..
But as they say a single ray of light is enough to remove the darkness spread all around.
People are fighting for them.. They are getting educated..Women themselves are raising their voice so they are bound to be heared..
Women as a gender has always been and is equal to men.. You can call it superior but surely not inferior.
Women must be respected yes they should earn it but still if they don’t do wrong with us who are we to disrespect them.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day we must salute everyone who has contributed towards the upliftment of women.
